Young motorsport enthusiasts pay very little attention to diet or physical training. However, this has a big impact on their performance on the track or in a rally. We will now give you tips on what to eat before the start in order to stay strong during the competition!

But first let’s find out what to avoid! Here, we strongly discourage you from eating fatty and heavy meals. Put off fizzy drinks and very large amounts of sweets. While a small candy bar never hurt anyone, a bar of chocolate can cause discomfort. Don’t eat at fast food restaurants.

Your last meal before setting out on a journey should be eaten 3-4 hours beforehand. It should mainly consist of carbohydrates. Why? These will give you strength and stimulate the body to action. Nutritionists recommend breakfast cereals, pasta, rice or bread. In addition, it is worth eating one egg to supplement the protein.

When it comes to drinking, bet on water. You should drink it both with a meal and before starting your journey. This way you will not lead to very dangerous dehydration of the body.
